Starting a Business


  • To found a small or a venture company while in school or while taking time off of school(undergraduate, master, doctoral students)


  • Faculties who launch his or her own business using his or her technology, skill, and know-how
  • Faculties who accept the CEO (except non-executive, director) position at startup business
  • Faculties who owns more than 50% of voting shares in a startup company or small company established by the 3rd party

    Faculty Personnel committee
    (leave-of-absence permission)
  • 2nd review

    AIRC Steering Committee
    (business plan and target technology evaluation)
  • approval from the University President

  • personnel appointment Academic Affairs Team

Student startups which use University-owned technologies need to sign contracts regarding to details of technologies, licensing fees, etc
