우리 연구실은 금속이나 금속산화물 촉매의 합성과 특성 분석에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 특히 촉매의 화학적 특성이나 구조를 조절하여 촉매 활성에 미치는 영향을 알아내고자 하고있다. 다양한 물리화학적, 분광학적 특성 분석과 촉매의 반응 특성을 분자수준에서 이해하고 새로운 촉매 개발을 위한 기반을 마련하는 연구를 수행하고 있다.
My general research interests are in the synthesis and characterization of supported metal/metal oxide catalysts. Particular interests are focused on novel synthesis methods for the precise control of the chemical properties of heterogeneous catalytic materials including morphology and corresponding catalytic properties. I utilize a wide array of chemical and spectroscopic characterization techniques of the prepared catalyst materials. Combining catalysts with both physical and chemical characterization can bring us closer to designing new, highly active and selective catalytic materials.
