시각정보처리 연구실

Visual Information Processing Lab.

시각정보처리 연구실은 전기전자공학, 컴퓨터과학, 수학, 인공지능 분야의 지식을 바탕으로 컴퓨터 비전, 영상처리, 기계학습 분야를 연구한다. 주요 연구 주제로는 영상 개선 및 복원, 대용량 3차원 영상처리, 물체 검출 및 인식, 멀티미디어 데이터 압축 등이 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발하는 기술은 시각 지능 시스템, 스마트 자동차, 혼합 현실, 로봇 비전 등 다양한 분야에서 활용 가능하다.
Visual Information Processing (VIP) Lab. is carrying out research on Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Machine Learning, based on the academic background of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Artificial Intelligence. Specific research topics of VIP Lab. are image enhancement and restoration, large-scale 3D visual data processing, object detection and recognition, and multimedia data compression. Applications of research include visual intelligence systems, smart vehicles, mixed reality, and robot vision.
