합금설계 연구실

Metal Alloy Design Lab

유니스트 ‘MADe’ 실험실에서는 주로 경량 합금 (Mg /Al/Ti합금),벌크 비정질 및 하이 엔트로피 합금과 같은 다성분 금속 합금의 설계, 개발 및 분석 연구에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 이러한 연구 활동은 모델링 및 시뮬레이션으로 보완되어 개발 중인 새로운 합금의 미세조직, 속성 및 성능 간의 관계를 보다 면밀히 제어하고 이해할 수 있습니다.
Our work in the 'MADe' laboratory has been mainly focused on the design, development and analysis of multi-component metal alloys such as lightweight alloys (Mg/Al/Ti alloys), bulk-amorphous and high-entropy alloys with high specific strength, and steels with enhanced toughness, all of which are needed for structural and/or biomedical applications. Our research activities are mostly supplemented with modeling and simulations to more clearly understand atomistic mechanisms governing relationships among microstructure, property, and performance for our novel alloys under development.
