Our research group is mainly focusing on the adipocyte biology at the level of metabolism and cancer. Through underlying the molecular mechanisms of obesity-related metabolic diseases, we aim to develop novel therapeutics for the metabolism and cancers. Main research topics are listed in below;
· Adipose tissue remodeling via modulation of extracellular matrix proteins
· Development of adipokine-based therapeutics for obesity-related metabolic diseases
· Underlying the signaling networks between stromal adipocytes and cancer cells within the tumor microenvironment
· Underlying the molecular mechanisms of metabolic stress-induced alteration of cancer cell behaviors
