Cultural Patterns and New Meanings

저는 울산과기원 인문학부 한국문학 부교수입니다. 20세기 한국 소설과 비평, 식민지 시기 잡지, 문학사회학 및 디지털 인문학에 관심이 있습니다. 현재 "계열 얽기: 1920년대 한국 잡지를 통한 작가 형성" 이라는 책을 영어로 쓰고 있습니다. 제 논문은 Journal of Korean Studies 와 같은 외국 학술지와 A Companion to World Literature (Wiley-Blackwell)와 같은 외국 편서, 그리고 [상허학회], [역사학보], [개념과 소통] 같은 국내 한국문학, 역사학, 개념사 학술지에 소개되었습니다. 최근에는 문학 내 정량분석에 획을 그은 프랑코 모레티의 [그래프, 지도, 나무]를 번역, 문학동네에서 출간하였습니다.

Jae-Yon Lee is currently an Associate Professor of Korean Literature in the School of Liberal Arts at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, Korea. His research interests include 20th-century Korean fiction and criticism, Korea’s colonial periodicals, literary sociology, and digital literary studies. Currently, he is working on the book manuscript, "Networking a Series: Formation of Periodical Authorship in 1920s Korea." His works have been published in Journal of Korean Studies, Acta Koreana, Sungkyun Journal of East Asian Studies, and in A Companion to World Literature (Wiley-Blackwell). Recently he translated Franco Moretti’s Graphs, Maps, Trees into Korean (2020).
