Color & Affective Engineering Lab

색채과학은 사람이 인지하는 색에 관해 연구하는 과학 분야입니다. 색채 및 감성공학 연구실에서는 색, 질감과 같은 시각 특성에 관한 수학적 모델을 개발하고 시각 특성과 감성의 관계에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 이를 디스플레이 화질 향상, 감성 조명 개발 등에 응용하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
The color science is a scientific discipline that deals with “color” we perceive. My main research interests are quantifying the visual perception such as color, texture and gloss, figuring out how those perceptions influence the human emotion (KamSung in Korean), and then applying those knowledge on the various product developments such as display image quality enhancement and affective lighting development.
